balgove larder

Balgove Larder in St Andrews, Scotland is full of contradictions.  It is a market, and a cafe; some animals are livestock, some are pets; you can shake off the night before or begin the evening to come.  But most of all, Balgrove Larder, is a place out of time and very much in the moment.

In this photo-essay, I hope to capture the wide range of color and flavor of Balgove.  If you have been, these photographs should remind you of what you invariably loved; if you haven’t yet visited, this tour should tell you why you should.
